Hi all,

I have booked myself onto a basic referee course with Sussex FA starting in a couple of weeks. I have been browsing around on here for the last few weeks and its a forum that seems very useful. I am looking forward to getting stuck into being referee and getting to know all on here.

Reffy, if there is one thing I have learned from this forum it is that refs don't say Dude, they say Fella!

It has been drawn to my attention that I only ever use the word dude when someone does something I really want them to stop doing. For instance, recently in work a colleague wanted to show me a lump he found on his groin. "Dude. no. Go see a doctor. Stop taking your trousers off... It could be a hernia, yes, what do you want me to do about it? Go see a doctor!"
