I know the linesman who was on the game, and was texting him yesterday, when he said 'type in Colwyn bay on twitter', and it all came out! Apparently ref pulled up with torn calf, replacement linesman was found and the guy I know was due to step in for final minutes. The replacement smelled of alcohol so was turned down, then Altrinchams assistant was put forward, colwyn bay turned down and took team off pitch so game had to be abandoned. FA have to make ruling now - does result stand or do they have to replay the full game!
 
They already have done and by some twist of fate Altringham won two nil, with exactly the same scorers as in the original game. Colwyn had a man sent off so have come out of it even worse than if they had allowed the first game to complete.
