New Substitution Law

Argentinian player at the top of the picture is to be substituted, referee tells her to go off at the touchline. Sub completed in less than 20 seconds. Imagine how long it would have taken her to walk from there to the halfway line...

You will get players standing on the centre circle now as thats the furthest from the touch line, its a really good change.

Good change, can't see it making much of a difference at grass roots when, if you're doing it properly, you still need to walk over to the player check their number and kit before they come on anyway.
You make a good point, player goes off in far corner, then you have to sprint to the halfway line to do the sub. Good change for professional football, though.

The only issue might be a safety issue to players, imagine a player having to walk past opposition supporters to get to the dressing room/dugout.

There's always the caveat whereby the referee can indicate to the player he/she can leave the FOP at the halfway line as previously mandated.
Or walk the other way round the pitch?

Yes got to be a bit of common sense, imagine a Galatasary sub having to walk past the Fenehbache fans.
