Morning all,

Quick one, if going from 7 to 6 or 6 to 5, what is the "cut off date" at the end of the season. When do i need all my games in by? Is there a set date?

Cheers. I've dropped RDO a message but thought id use the groups knowledge!

If it helps, I went on the 7-6 pathway last year but, for a variety of reasons, never got the required number of OA games in. RDO rolled me over to this season (helpfully, as was still on last year's criteria) and now met the criteria so just waiting for the next promotion window, which hopefully is the end of Feb, though I might have to wait until end of season now.

I asked my RDO a similar question recently, and the response I got was there are 4 opportunities per season to achieve promotion. Q1 and Q2 have passed, Q3 is the end of February, Q4 is the end of April.

@The Gump - I always thought 7-to-6 and 6-to-5 promotion candidates were always able to carry matches over from one season to the next automatically, i.e. there wasn't a requirement to get all 25 (+5 AR appointments) into one single season? Surely nobody would get 25 OA games + 5 AR matches in within the Q1 deadline? Am I incorrect?

That's certainly what happened to me so I think we're both right which should mean @ICan'tSpeyk will be okay rolling over to the 25/26 season.

Just got my email from my CFA saying I'm moving to L6 from tomorrow so you're right about the deadlines, and I'm moving onto L6-5 to try to get a decent head start ahead of next season because there are loads of games still to go around here because of the weather so once the clocks change there should be a lot of midweek games.

Fixtures from the previous season (7-6 & 6-5) can carry over into new seasons, Therefore anyone meeting the Q1 deadline is likely to have fixtures rolled over from the prior season.

To answer the Question if you want to achieve promotion this season then 30th April is your deadline.

This is helpful for me too. Currently on 7-6 myself. Done all my games as part of the criteria but I've not had any MDC visits (unofficial observations) yet unfortunately. That's going to be what holds me back.

Need 3 more AR games (had 3 called off in the last 2 weeks!) and one more CPD's and I've fulfilled everything. Don't think that will happen before April given the lack of coaches in my county. I'll likely have mine rolled over.
