The Ref Stop
It would be great to see the few mins before the kick. If this is the last kick of the game, the smart referee has already told all the players and made various hand gestures so even some speccies get it.

He has to manage that better. Make it clear that it is pointless anyone going for any rebound as play will end once a goal is scored or it is saved and the forward momentum of the ball ends. He clearly didn't do that based on the reaction and appears to have surprised everyone.

correct in law, badly managed.

I had this once (a penalty right at the end of a game) and I made it very clear to the players that the game was over once the kick was completed.

One of the users commenting online claims to have been at the game and says the referee gave no warnings it was the final kick of the game and no rebounds would be considered. Shame the video wasn't longer showing the build up and aftermath, so guess we will have to take their word for it.

Some of the comments are jaw dropping, probably fueled by common misconceptions and myths, often spread by the media and pundits who should know better.

Bad luck to anyone watching the game from the sidelines who suffers from colourblindness!

And what would have been different if the R had told them time was up? Nothing. It is certainly good management to tell players the kick is being taken in extended time and there will be no rebounds, but it didn’t unfairly impact anyone that he didn’t.
