In a goal/no goal situation when, as AR, you want to give a goal, which signal should you use? Some referees say flag straight up then run to the halfway line, others say just run back without a flag.
One important thing from the signalling point of view, ensure you are on the goal line before you signal and wait briefly after the whistle so that people see you credibly placed to make the decision.LOTG p92 said:When a goal has been scored but the ball appears still to be in play, the assistant referee must first raise his flag to attract the referee’s attention then continue with the normal goal procedure of running quickly 25-30 metres along the touch line towards the halfway line.
I do this craig, 45 degrees not too obvious though!!For me it just a raise my left arm and run towards the half way line
You mean 90 degrees? 45 would be pointing at the groundI do this craig, 45 degrees not too obvious though!!
Yeah that's what I do... If it's an obvious goal I do roughly 45 if it's tight, it's flag, 90 and runYou mean 90 degrees? 45 would be pointing at the ground
