How did every one find it. I thought it was very good. It proved coaches and especially parents can easily behave themselves but chose not to. Also felt the kids playing behaved more and it wasn’t as aggressive..

I mentored a young referee yesterday in her first game with a silent crowd and coaches. Really good. Today I refed an U10s game with a silent crowd and coaches.

It was really good to listen to what the kids were saying to each other on the pitch and seeing them having to make their own decisions. Feedback from parents and coaches was mixed. I feel like there a quite a few adults that can’t actually handle themselves when it comes to their children playing (no wonder where the kids get it from).

It has definitely provided food for thought which I assume was the initial point of it

When I coached, our league didn’t do these. I did them just for our team, and invited the other team to join us. About half did. It was amazing how much more the kids talked to one another without their parents yelling at them . . .
