Anyone watching this? How was that not a penalty?

Great block with the hand to stop the through ball.

Yep - looked like a pen to me too.

Looked like he moved towards the ball with the arm/hand.

Not for me, defender is falling over and arm goes out to protect his fall, just so happens ball is then played into his arm. No pen for me

In real time it looked like a fall. Referee immediately indicates the same. I’m happy with the decision.

His hand does go out if he were going to fall, but he doesn't, so surely a pen?

It feels like defenders (especially those from West Ham!) are getting wise to the 'supporting arm' consideration and using it to their advantage. For me, both this decision and the Soucek one last week were 'deliberate'. That said, I can totally understand how they got away with them ....

This one was certainly less of a penalty than the Soucek one last week. I believe PGMOL have said that wasn't a mistake, so by definition today's shouldn't be given as a penalty.
