Stitch

Got to about 5 mins before half time in my game today and suddenly felt a really bad stitch. It seems to wear off at half time but as soon as I started running the pain was there again. What I want to ask is, is there a way to get rid of a stitch quickly other than deep breathing and pressing the area?

Nope that is about it, Did you warm up properly or eat really close to the match?

Might have been the warm-up as I only did a few stretches and I ate around 1 1/2 hours before kick off.

It was quite sunny, so it was in my eyes most of the time? @haywain

Apparently stopping ruining for a moment and stretching by touching your toes will do the trick. I also use the prod it with your finger technique!

The quickest way to cure a stitch has been proven to be, lay down on your back and pull your knee up to your chest on the side where the stitch is. Hold it for about 20-30 seconds and it should be gone. Only get chance at half time though ;)
