Tournament Cards and Reporting

Morning, Newish Ref here.

Was spectating at my son's tournament yesterday. It was U16, and some pretty rough tackles, ending in one large lad punching a couple of the opposition players. No one hurt thankfully. He was given a red card, and the game abandoned.

My question is do games, conduct, and cards get reported onto the various FA systems for tournaments.... or are the cards just for show on the day. It 'seemed' to me some lads were essentially getting a free pass to do what they wanted... aside from being send off.

Should be, assuming the tournament is sanctioned by the county FA.

From over 25 years of reffing i have never known a tournament red or yellow card to go the the county FA afterwards.

Did a tournament last year got told at the end of the day by the organiser not to submit my cautions etc...

Submitted the cautions and emailed local RDO who was rather interested in their demand.

Protect yourself, the tournament organisers wouldn't think twice about throwing you under the bus.

If the tournament isn’t FA Affiliated, I wouldn’t be going anywhere near it

If it is FA Affiliated, send in any cautions etc. Let the County FA deal with the rest

I always always submit cards. To protect myself because all it takes is one parent or coach to say something and then you’re in it.
