Although he signalled DFK, which threw me off a bitDecision of a lifetime that
Nailed it
I think a few of us are scratching our heads thereExcuse my ignorance, why wasn’t that a DOGSO? Made no attempt to win the ball
Agree. Perhaps there was cover -off camera, but he was definitely in control of the ball.I think a few of us are scratching our heads there
Only plausible reason for me, but surely there’s a yellow for a few things in there at least, surprisedAgree. Perhaps there was cover -off camera, but he was definitely in control of the ball.
Very bold, but refreshing to seehe won’t get any plaudits from the pundits etc for that decision but to make an instant call on diving, 85 minutes into a World Cup final with this atmosphere is incredibly brave. Superb refereeing
Chapeau sir. Your referee colleagues around the world are purring at that decisionOutstanding refereeing! Superb!
Attempting to win the ball has nothing to do with DOGSO or not. It only determines the colour of the card if DOGSO. I think direction of play and angle created some doubt. But in reality, it takes a lot more certainty (than your everyday DOGSO) to send someone off in a WC final.Excuse my ignorance, why wasn’t that a DOGSO? Made no attempt to win the ball
When was that? And he booked Giroud off the bench, I’m really enjoying this performance
