I got into a bit of trouble in a game where a yappy player was getting on my nerves, and after another offside decision had gone against his team he said something like "Ref, you should give the offsides not the lino as he doesn't know what he is doing". I just smiled and came back with "mate, if you want to play in games where the referee decides offsides then go back to Sunday morning football". It shut him up, he got laughed at by his own players, but ultimately backfired as he went crying to his manager who then confronted me after the game and told me he was marking me down. Oops ..!
