They tweeted about a new LOTG app earlier today. Apologies if anyone has already posted.

The Referee Store
Have just downloaded it - certainly a useful app to have on my phone.

However, I’ve spotted an error. Clicking on the “My notes” tab, it says:

“You haven’t wrote any notes yet.”

Not the end of the world, but it does jarr.

Had the same issue, but found a solution.

If you highlight some text in the laws, you should then have the option to either copy, highlight or make a note.

If you make a note, then it should appear in My Notes.

It's the problem with localisation in software. Sometimes things don't quite translate and little things like that get missed.

I'd hop if you raised an issue for it it would be fixed fairly quickly

I took your advice, and dropped them (IFAB) an email earlier this week.

I just had a notification on my phone that the app has had an update - opened the app and was pleased to see it now says:

“You don’t have any notes yet”

Pleased they’ve updated the app, I’ll never know if it was because of my email, but chuffed anyway. Thanks @zarathustra for the suggestion

No worries.

I'm not sure I'm seeing what the advantage of the ap is over downloading the PDF to iBooks. Is there?
Convenience, it is easier to quickly access a certain section of law on the app. However, for learning and revising, a physical copy or the PDF would be much easier.

Agree - the app is much easier to navigate. Other things you can do with it, that you can't with the pdf, are to immediately see the explanation for the changes from within the Law itself and also to compare the changes to the old wording.

The next version of the app is going to apply the laws for you, so you can just stay in the centre circle and point your phone's camera at play. (I realise this is what some do anyway... :D )
