So... Has the law changed to "making an obvious attempt to play the ball" in the proffessional game?
However at grassroots it remains as "interferring with play" - i am sure my county FA said this?
My understanding was that the offside rule changed (in proffessional football, not grass roots) to "making an obvious attempt to play the ball" rather than "interferring with play" - so why were all pundits and journalists saying that the goal was offside when they did not make an obvious...
Scenario -
Player A takes one of them corners where he says to his player B "come take this corner" and rolls it it a few inches, then player B comes along and runs with the ball into the box.
However opposition player C realises and runs over before B gets there but player A - after rolling...
So an offence that occurs in the goal area has to be taken on the "6 yard line"
Whereas an offence in the PA will be taken from where the offence occurd?
I was reading through a few posts regarding IDFK's and someone said...
"an indirect free kick awarded inside the goal area must be taken on the goal area line parallel to the goal line at the point nearest to where the infringement occurred."
I clearly understand IDFK can be awarded in the PA...
With the start of the season creeping up on us I could really do with some sort of fitness ideas.
I'm not a lover of road running and prefer running when doing something (like football) as it takes my mind off the running.
Any help appreciated?
