Only advice I would give is give the red card quicker, I understand the initial going to him if you think he is seriously hurt. But once the physio/manager/person with the sponge is there, step away. Agree with everyone above. The referee in the middle has the final say. Every time. If he decides it's not offside, it doesn't matter why....... play on. If he's sending the wrong player off due to mistaken identity...... and you inform him, and he decides he's right and your wrong even though...

You went with your gut at the time, so trust it. Sounds like you didn't coc* up, sounds like you may have given a player a chance to score a great goal instead of being ruled incorrectly offside.

In real time, looks like a lunge as opposed to a trip and warrants a red. In slow mo, looks more like a yellow. In summary, have no argument against the red being shown. SFP for me.
