Surely that is interference by an outside agent ???

In which case, according to my understanding of LoTG the referee awards a goal based on what happens next

A goal can only be awarded if the ball goes into the goal. The bit you are referring to is

If a ball is going into the goal and the interference does not prevent a defending
player playing the ball, the goal is awarded if the ball enters the goal (even if
contact was made with the ball) unless the ball enters the opponents’ goal.

Law 14 folks. This is a retake.

If this was meat to be humour Ciley, you have failed

Sorry? I find it funny but not nearly as funny as your suggestion of awarding a goal when no goal has been scored. Where on earth would that idea even be logical in anyone's planet? Oh here, the ball is not over the line but hey you know what, am gonna give a goal anyway. Then, worse, you have your 2 teams/officials etc thinking you are right !!
then a responsible referee comes along next week and does things properly and its THEY who will cop the flack.
As another user said, the answer to the OP is not even up for interpretation, its clear, in the LOTG

if we all just took the readings of the good book out onto the pitch then things would be so much easier.

I find your tagline thing amusing, "if you don't like it, you know where the dressing room is" maybe you should add on "and btw I warn you know am not coherent with the LOTG"
