The Ref Stop

What would you have been doing this week?

Tregoose was the planned location. Was hoping to reacquaint with Truro FC (having already reffed them in a feisty game earlier this season) but I'd have been fine to travel further if the opportunity was there!
Ohh. I always forget about Truro. I only live about 15 minutes away too. I have only been there once on the line so I forget they are there.
If you fancied a laugh you could have come and watched a game I was reffing 😂

Well, hoping to resurrect the trip in September so I'll let you know!!

We'd have had our cup finals day today where we play all three games on the same day at the same venue with 11:00, 13:30 and 16:00 kick offs. Makes for a long old day for us league officials.

I had one. I lost it to this thing.

I cling to the hope that the EFL will play out the Championship so that no one can claim we didn't win promotion (and the title) properly

I've a feeling that that's what will happen now. I hope so anyway - seems the only fair and obvious way to do things. By that I mean everybody recommencing the season ( albeit in a few months time when deemed reasonably safe to do so) and actually bringing it all to it's most natural conclusion.
It will seem a bit surreal but the fact that one season effectively becomes two (after so long a break) will probably throw up more than a couple of "form" anomalies and make for a more interesting finale. :)

At least we all know why 'ull started making noises about ending the season without any more games

Sorry Brian but if I had any hair on the top of my head ... I'd have a middle-parting with last post of yours? ??
Hull are the only club in the Championship who have said that the season should end now. They are also the only club who have players/playing staff who have Covid-19. They are also the club who have picked up only 2 points from the last 30 available. They're one defeat away from being in a relegation spot. At present PPG would see them survive until next season.

Ah I see. ;)

It’s amazing that a few teams wanted to call the season till relegation was still included. The squeals from teams at or near the bottom was deafening! Suddenly it was unsafe again!

Attending my cousin’s already postponed wedding. This is the second postponement (to the same chap).

Fate could be trying to tell her something...

It's May isn't it?
:ninja:
Wonder if I would have got a cup final this season...

I had one - 4th Official Senior Youth (U18). Middlesex have canvassed clubs about views on playing the finals when football resumes at the various levels.

Personally, for all sorts of reasons I think difficult for the o/a finals and virtually impossible for all the age related ones

:(

I'd be done now I expect. Training for fitness test in 2-3 weeks. Ready for a break before August comes round

I’ve got my largest order in my career the other week so lockdown has given me ample time to ponder and look carefully at all aspects of my life. I’m sure with Zoom & Teams some meetings will not happen any more face to face but that’s surely a good thing for all our stress levels and commuting etc.
