Firstly, what do people do for recovery after every match? Any tricks of the trade or is it mainly the old stretch and relax?
Second of all ive recently been suffering with/developed shin splints and anyone who has/had them knows just how painful they are. From what I've seen the best thing for it is rest and ice. Unfortunately I work so the rest part isn't really an option. Anyone found anything that works for them?

Guinness. Maybe a KitKat Chunky if I'm feeling flush.

(Easier said than done, but I do like to have a proper jog and cool down after 10-15 minutes back in the dressing room. Just a couple of laps then streeeeeettttccccch them legs)

Pfffft. 10-15 mins after the game you should be in the bar buying the observer a pint and a packet of nuts.
