I’m a trainee ref and not sure if the following is offside. Any help appreciated.
An attacker beats his defender near the goal line. The defender slides out of play. The attacker crosses the ball. Another attacker in front of goal scores. The attacker who scores is onside if the defender who has slid out of play is still considered active. Should the defender be considered active, or not? Thanks

Treat the defender as if he’s standing on the goal line… and welcome to the site! Great place for questions, unloading, and tips.

Always a potential brainfart moment when it happens to you as AR, especially if the keeper has gone walkabout.
