    Witty comebacks

This one has always raised a few laughs whenever I've used it. When a player is bordering on dissent I will say, "Listen player, if I had wanted to listen to complaining all morning then I would have stopped at home with the wife"

    Dwight Gayle...

Baggie here - I was at the other end of the ground but in real time it looked a penalty so I can see why Mason gave it. I obviously don't condone what Gayle did and it does need rooting out of the game, but why all of a sudden have they decided to act? That was probably worse than Gayles and...

    Jay Rodriguez Red card Restart?

I'm happy to see that my thread has brought up a good point. To all those saying that the referee didn't see the 'stamp' pause the video exactly where it is supposed to have happened, to me it looks clear as day that the ref saw it but chose to play on. In my opinion the assistant dropped him...

    Jay Rodriguez Red card Restart?

Okay thanks for that, the reason I was unsure is that the ref was clearly looking at the apparent stamp and signaled play on advantage, and then brought it back after the ball had gone dead after consulting with his assistant.

    Jay Rodriguez Red card Restart?

Sorry I didn't explain the restart part too well. Basically the ref played advantage and they shot over the bar, so it's a goalkick. Then he notices his Assistant has his flag up and goes over to him. After the red, he restarted play by giving Sheffield Wednesday a freekick from where the...

    Jay Rodriguez Red card Restart?

1.03 in the video. Thoughts? In real time from behind the goal I thought it was a red so can see why Assistant called it, but then when I saw a replay on twitter on my phone 5 minutes later I couldn't believe it. Assistant referee called it, but the ref was clearly looking at the incident as...

    First Premier League Ball

Yes you are right I just had a look up on the history, here it is for anybody wondering: http://www.punditarena.com/football/english-football/ckelleher/premier-league-footballs-history/

    Assistant referees changing touchlines

This always seems to happen to me when it shouldn't, I am level 7 and I get level 5's and 6's taking up the Junior role. Yes I know it aids my development but it shouldn't really be happening. During the pre match talk I always seem to be leaned on to go Senior. In fact this season (including...

    First Premier League Ball

Sorry my Australian friend I missed a word off. I meant it had 'Premier League' written underneath the word 'Delta'. :) Perhaps a picture will help:

    First Premier League Ball

Fairly sure it was a Mitre Delta. Think it also had Premier League written on it underneath.

Open Age You don't see this often.

You are right that you don't see it often. I found myself in the unusual position of having to give it twice in consecutive games towards the end of last season!

Hi Craig, was good to be on the game with you Saturday. Hopefully be on another one with you soon.

    Something that made me chuckle

If there was ever any proof needed that players don't know the laws of the game here it is. Blue v Red, Red goal kick, not the biggest pitch in the world and he bladders it right over the top of blue's defensive line. Red player was in an 'offside' position, CAR flag goes up, everybody stops...

    Who played him on Lino?

I'd like to think we have all been in this situation more often than not when running the line. You see a player is onside so allow play to continue and one of the defenders asks nicely (well sometimes they do) which one played him on. Sometimes you can't really be sure exactly who played him...

    WBA Chavski

Fair enough. However like I said there were players in the box already waiting for the cross. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on it though because he would have been looking at the player about to cross the ball.
