It’s clear ref’s are using the yellow to allow the foul to be upgraded. They’re clearly afraid of getting it wrong so allowing VAR to take the hit. They should grow a backbone both making the right decisions and saying no to VAR

VAR cannot gives yellows? Only for serious foul play. But surly that was a red car offence. Off the ground not in control and stamping?

Would be really interesting to hear the audio that was going on at that point. From the clips that have been shown there alot of it is talking over each other, but I would have hoped the assistant would have been saying this will be flagged for offside once the movement is complete.

Understood, but in this case the foot was high before the player got there, he was nearly past the player when the collided so I dont see how this is the keeper assaulting the player its just very confusing how this ends up in a red when i cannot see how the law can be used clearly to be red but...

So and I need to understand this as it slightly confuses me that the keeper misses the ball, then the player comes into him not any other way. If the Keeper connected with the ball in any small amount it would have been the same collision?

Thanks for your feedback but I always though DOGSO had to be obvious regardless of the distance from goal.

Baffled, well yes as I cannot say thats an obvious chance for a goal, it looks too high and the player is already struggling to get there.
