After 4 years - it died

My trusty and much loved Valkeen whistle has finally lost its crispness after 4 seasons (ish).

Luckily I remortgaged recently and have bought a new one. Anyone else had the same happen to them?

Have you tried cleaning it out. Bath of warm water with bicarbonate soda.

I had to change whistle at half time today after my definitely real and not cheap Chinese knockoff 'Valkeen' went a bit peculiar as I blew for HT. Hoping it's no more than a bit of gunk clogging it up inside, but preparing myself for the possibility of shelling out a whole seven, maybe even eight pounds for a new one.

Yeah - use denture cleaners. It will just become my spare for now and the new one came out the box. It is very shiny!

I’ve broken two in very cold weather. They have gone a bit brittle and I have cracked them. #3 is still performing.
