Their manager made the wolves player faff about on the pitch (worse than the normal slow jog). He then refused to leave the pitch. Manager made a fuss and the ref got annoyed and had a conversation. Then the manager decided to take someone else off on the other side of the pitch so they could do it all over again.Talked about it in another thread recently but we all know the caution for time wasting would be in 89th minute or later, it’s happening earlier (in elite level football)
I can’t answer your question but I feel as though the 4th official should have been more in control of that situation.Their manager made the wolves player faff about on the pitch (worse than the normal slow jog). Very messy and poor sportsmanship from a manager.
Could the ref caution the manager for 'tactical time wasting' like that? Haven't seen that before over such a long period of time.
Agree 100%. If the 4th O isn't dealing with substitutes properly, why even bother turning up?I can’t answer your question but I feel as though the 4th official should have been more in control of that situation.
Which is a fairly common situation. They can change the substitution even after they have handed in the card, right up until the point the replacement player enters the pitch. Not a huge amount the 4th official or any of the officials can do about that other than add time on to compensate. It looked like they had given KF the sub card with Jimenez's number on before another player (Podence?) had gone down injured, at which point they wanted to sub Podence off instead, but KF had already put the board up showing that Jimenez was being subbed.
Bare in mind, it took a minimum of 3 minutes to sort this mess out, which is shocking really.Which is a fairly common situation. I was surprised by 6 mins of additional mins too.Bare in mind, it took a minimum of 3 minutes to sort this mess out, which is shocking really.
Yes, it was a bit odd but in general, added time is not an exact science. 6 mins is bordering on the high end of what is considered "standard" time wasting. If there was a big injury, then I could see this pushed more.I was surprised by 6 mins of additional mins too.
3 mins for this sub alone.
2 mins for the hamstring injury
2 mins for normal subs?
Then how 2-4 mins weren't added on for all of the time wasting was interesting.
I was fully expecting about 8/9 mins
