Lallana, Sterling and Kane just weren't good enough. All that posession and our only goal from a midfielder at a free kick. I don't think either Kane or Sterling can cut it at this level. Put Rooney further forward, start with Wilshere and have Sturridge up there....

Forget about Rooney, seriously your team will be 100% better.

He is an albatross at the movement.

Didn't play badly today in fairness, but squeezing him into the team ruins the flow of the team, which is the main problem.

Nah.
We were all over them - just couldn't get our front 3 to perform...

We still had the game won until that numpty Milner came on......
 
Lol yes that was the problem.

England need to have a rethink. It didn't happen up front. The goal was a little lucky (great finish though) in where it came from. The formation and team didn't click. This is 100% England over the past 20 years.

well, ze Germans certainly showed us how to do it last night... they are so consistent (mind you so are we tbf, just not in the right way ! :) )
I wonder if their fans actually watch the group stages or tune in once the round of 16 starts ?

Watching Ronaldo tonight was like watching best steak served with soggy chips.. Completely wasted in an ageing average side....
 
Fair play to Iceland for holding them to a draw

Portugal looked average at absolute best tonight. If they can't beat Iceland they may struggle to qualify! Hungary and Austria are not bad sides
