F50 - Week 03

FORECAST FIFTIES 25/26



Late drama in Barcelona threw this one wide open, with Rossbot capitalising. The day started well, as James (15) and One (12) scoring big, and more than half of us getting the 1-1 draw in the Championship spot-on. I was actually at Saints' training ground during the match and buzz went round that Ipswich had won it late-on, so was quite the surprise for me when I got back to the changing room.

While no one saw a draw at Stamford Bridge coming, all but one of us had Forest to swot away the Bees. Clash of the ****eans at Old Trafford saw Salford (6) get the only treble for the 0-1 away win, but three others fancied the Arsenal win, with three going for a United victory and losing points there. It was all going swimmingly for everyone (except Wizzy) in Barcelona as Atletico were 1-0 up at Espanyol. Then they blew it. Sorry Gabz, you would have been top.

There were 37 goals in the 11 DFB Pokal games on Sunday. No one got it spot on, but Wizzy was one-away for +4 points, then Samuel for +3, and a handful of 21 and 1s.
