In this situation described above, the opponent would have tapped the ball into the goal. If the opponent was not threatening to score and the ball just trickled in, the restart would be a corner kick. But in this case, the GK handled the ball after a restart before it touched another player to deny an opponent an obvious goal.
You can't quote me and then use a scenario that was introduced after my quote to give the wrong answer to the question I was actually answering. 😂

In the original question it was a mishit and attempt to stop it going. This denied an obvious corner kick opportunity, as a goal could not have been scored and so the outcome would simply be an IDFK as others have pointed out IFAB don't want advantage in this situation.
