How would you handle player calling the opposite club assistant 'cheat'?

Do you send all players off for saying anything 'offensive' no matter how slight? Or does it need to be a certain amount offensive?
For me, I keep it simple. If I don't send them off I havn't deemed it offensive. If I deemed it offensive, I'd send them off. There is not 'slight' or 'amount' in the assessment. I make it a black and white decision.

Similar to dissent. If there is no card/bin it is a disagreement that I have not deemed to have reached the level of dissent.

Or if it helps, for a foul I assess it as either careless or not careless. There is no slightly careless.

I sent a player off at Sunday morning OA earlier this season for calling the opposition CAR a cheat. Took people by surprise, but I'd do it again.

As far as I'm concerned, a CAR is part of my team for the purposes of the fixture, and unless I have reason to believe they have actually cheated on the decision in question (which for this one, I didn't), I will believe them until I have been shown otherwise.

As a player, you may think they're cheating, but even if you do, you don't need to be shouting/screaming it at them.

I do always remind players also that it isn't a binary choice between the AR being correct and the AR cheating. Professional ARs get decisions wrong occasionally, so a an honest club AR trying their best is also entitled to do the same
