New EPL headsets?

Spotted on the West ham game and games after. Haven’t seen anything about it but suspect it could be down to the ref cam when its needed?

Curious if the ear piece is a separate piece now or just attached at the top.

Don't think it is related to ref cam, as Darren England had that this week and it was a camera on his chest.

Honestly though, I couldn't tell you what is different in that headset to the old one, not something I'd pay any attention to.

Some, Jared Gillett is an example, have worn it on the ear.
Whether it's for that I don't know but this one seems to have a hook that does around the ear which isn't usually there on the Comms kits.
