Come on James. There is no place for sarcasm on a referee forumDoes law 3 say that?![]()
Must say it a few times a season, and it came up again on Saturday when I was AR and going through the cautions back in the dressing room. Shame that “BE” isn’t one of the SP, TR, FT, AA (etc) additional USB caution codes.I'd like to think I've maybe learned some better management techniques and may deal with it differently now, however I do believe that this was a problem entirely of the players own making.
If you are talking about the OP, general USB or delaying the restart are far better reasons. Is it dissent by (in)action?
- if the referee has authorised the doctors and/or stretcher bearers to enter the field of play, the player must leave by a stretcher or on foot. A player who does not comply must be cautioned for unsporting behaviour
