I'm a bit on the 'eh, what's that for?' side of discussion at the moment. Can only think it's DOSGO?
It can only be Dogso. However, I'm not even having that as a foul.

If it's a foul, it's DOGSO.
But .... everything about that to me looks like the tackle you would expect any defender to make, well executed and completely under control. It looked like that at full speed and the slow mo didn't change my view
If that's a foul, we might as well give in to Michel Platini and outlaw tacking altogether
i can only think the ref thinks it's a dangerous studs up lunge, which i can just about buy, but surely any look on VAR disproves it immediately
actually, Having just watched that again, the referee has not called that real time
its the AR via comms.
yeah i thought that was also quite likely
Exactly this. Its a rabbit out of a hat.Somewhat scruffy tackle (when viewed in slow motion), but 'my game' expects a 'round of applause' for the defender; and everyone goes home happy
"When moving at speed it doesn't take a lot of impact to completely break the running mechanics."Exactly this. Its a rabbit out of a hat.
Even on slow mo I am not convinced on a Foul here. Its a contact sport. He hasn't gone through the player to get there.
Its a contact sport
Agree. Was just going to say. Yes, there might be an argument for contact, but not all contact is a foul.
Personally, am not giving that as a foul, and apparently, neither is VAR. I think the AR dropped a clanger and the referee compounded it by ignoring the VAR bail out.
