Another question from 'my' fans forum. I'm guessing RR will know but anyone who knows can answer!

QPR B v Brentford B - what level officials would do these games?

Both sides contained about half a dozen 1st team squad members btw and this one was behind closed doors at Loftus Road - if those make any difference - which I don't think they do!

If by PGMOL2 you mean select group 2 then yes. 2 to 3 levels below.

A 2a referee on a regular Saturday refs national league premier and a 2b national league north and south.

Its normal to see first teamers play in u23/21 games for minutes after injury, but the level of ref remains the same for that level regardless

Isn't there a restriction on over age players in that league?

QPR started with 8 over 21s - a proper B team if you like - so not sure this was a league match?

I would guess at yes, a friendly, as I don't think Brentford B are in that league. Someone will know!
