Hi,

After some interesting threads over the past few days, I came across this slightly late tackle.

Anyone not going red here? For me, this is one instance I don't understand the on field decision, or the decision not to intervene.

I'd imagine he was saved by the fact that it appears that the contact with Palmer was relatively little. It's not a good tackle, though!

The consideration of 'endangering an opponent' is secondary to 'spoiling the spectacle'
We're seeing this all the time in the EPL. We probably need to see a spate of serious injuries before this is redressed

I think I've got quite a high threshold for SFP, but Match Control would be interesting at Step 5/6 if I had the same threshold as the PGMOL

The only thing that probably saves him is height and minimal contact

Harry Maguire got away with one a few weeks back which was far worse than this

But agreed, it should be a red card
