Appreciate I’m not a high level referee, looking at the state of the pitch, I would t allow this game to go ahead if I had it for open age fixture. Am I too cautious? I’d be worrying about potential injuries

Not often we see football played in challenging conditions. Absolutely the right call to play on

No reason not to play on that. It was a great leveller for the gap in league positions. At grass roots that's game on. On saying that, Edgeley Park has never been that wet when I've refereed there. Just saying?......................
