Strong Gale

Two hours of rain in NW London and the vast majority of games cancelled
The pitches are wet, but still quite firm. Aside from private facilities, both my local councils abandoned all games
The game is becoming a summer sport at grass roots
Although I know there's been some very heavy rains elsewhere to the west

The Referee Store
It persistent it down here in Sheffield. Doubt whether the councils allowed any games on their pitches!

Never stopped raining here but the pitches are still very firm. Even had a goal where a long ball bounced over the keeper.

There's obviously a line where a pitch becomes dangerous but the pitches around me today all had matches on them, no need to cancel simply because it's raining and then end up with teams playing 3 games a week in April/May like last year
