Did you get bonus marks for proving no one is perfect?
I remember another incident very soon after I qualified and was still a shiny fresh faced L7. I completely forgot to get a match ball from the home team, did the respect handshake, CAR briefing and toss. Was only when I said to the captain, its your kick, he asked me if I had a ball they could play with, home team kicked one over that was obviously flat. I seem to recall that the game went downhill from there as well, wasn't my finest 90 minutes on the FOP.
Lesson learned the hard way!
