The Ref Stop
Yes but I meant as a general deterrent of faking injuries even by outfield players.
Many Managers are annoyed with 30 seconds especially when they concede a goal so they will be even madder now, but they have brought it upon themselves, though it’s a shame they haven’t done anything about the goalkeepers, which is becoming silly now with the amount of occurrences

My personal change would keep it to 30 secs, but make it similar to sin bins so they can't return until the ball is out of play next. That way the genuine ones aren't overly punished like it is now but the fakers have something else they need to be concerned about

Has the 30s had any effect in the PL and EFL? I don't watch enough these days to make a decent assessment.
It has definitely had an impact as teams have conceded when a player has been off, and from what I can see this is usually when there has been a genuine injury. I don't really have a problem with that though as treatment isn't supposed to happen on the pitch so genuinely injured players should be going off for treatment anyway.

BBC are reporting some other proposed changes.

- Time limits on goal kicks and throw-ins with possession changing if they take too long (but no information on how long is too long).
- Players being substituted only get 10 seconds to leave the pitch. If not off by then they still have to go off but the replacement cannot come on for at least a minute, and only at a stoppage in play.

But they haven't agreed a solution to keepers going down to create tactical timeouts, and I would argue that is a bigger issue than the ones they are trying to fix.

Sounds like a nightmare to enforce lower down the pyramid

I would guess they either walk off in the allowed 10 seconds or they are deemed to be injured and need treatment. The outcome will be the same, either they or the sub will spend a minute off the pitch.

Players leaving the field and taking their time really does annoy me.
Some go to thank the officials, some stand and applaud the entire stadium, even if they're away team. They can thank them all at the end of the game.

A loophole that has to be closed off before players try it for injury treatment process is not allowing substitutions during that minute, especially for grassroots when returning substitutes are allowed. Something like Sinbin that a sinbinned player can not be substituted.
