You keep saying 3 yards which is not quite accurate (see images in post #84) but that's not the point. So if sticking your leg out in front of the ball when the keeper is in the process of releasing it is not challenging or preventing to release the ball then what distance is? 2 yards? 1 yard? Half a yard? how about a few inches?Assuming it's a foul, at what distance is it okay to anticipate a goalkeeper releasing then? 3 yards you say no, 5?, 10?
OR
It's not a foul, because sticking your leg out 3 yards from an opponent is not challenging them or preventing them from doing anything. It's preventing an outcome, but not a release.
