Diving or Penalty - Var intervention

Refs first call was yellow for foul playing then after VAR intervention penalty was conceded. The referee was very close and had a clear view. Should VAR had intervened

Looks a lot like a dive - I've want to see that first angle on the final clip from a second or two earlier and a little closer to be 100% sure as VAR, but assuming that does confirm no contact then yeah, definitely should have been reversed.

Even if some contact I call this a dive. There is no chance (IMO) any contact here would have caused the attacker to go down like a sack of potatoes. Def no foul, and I'd card it to get rid of this type of nonsense out of our game.

that was Ref 1'st decision. yellow for simulation. it was VAR who changed it for a penalty kick

Next time you see a 99.x% accuracy stats for VAR from FIFA or any footballing body, don't think twice about assuming this type of VAR inventions is put in their 'accurate' bucket.
