You'd hope he gives a straight red if that is the caseI feel for MO to give a second yellow here he’s said something pretty bad.
In the 94th minute of a Derby deep in the attacking thirdNo one knows what he said.
More than happy with 2 yellows here, especially considering the way he reacted over a throw in
This.To give a double yellow after ignoring the sarcastic clapping from Nunez is criminal
Whether it’s a derby or not shouldn’t really make a differenceIn the 94th minute of a Derby
It's tricky when you get the card out for a very specific gesture and the player then repeats that exact same gesture in response. The definition of consistency!
Replace with words instead of a gesture. Book a player for verbal dissent and he then repeats the statement, wouldn't you just show the card again?Perhaps. Still harsh
In theory you're right of course. But I don't think this is in keeping with what football expects or what's happened previously in the game.Replace with words instead of a gesture. Book a player for verbal dissent and he then repeats the statement, wouldn't you just show the card again?
Referee is the talking point because Liverpool were poor and Utd sat back.Liverpool fan but don’t think there was any need for a red there once again a big game and a referee is the talking point
Yes. This. If only they could maintain consistencyNice to see someone at the elite level take a stance. They just need to be more consistent with it
Nope sorry not for me many on here cover for poor decision but I will put bias aside and call that as what it was a poor lack of judgement.Referee is the talking point because Liverpool were poor and Utd sat back.
Nice to see someone at the elite level take a stance. They just need to be more consistent with it
And here lies the issue. MO is well within his right to double caution if he feels appropriate, you can see Dalots reaction so it can be sold. However, it won’t happen next week or the weeks after that, MO himself didn’t even take an opportunity for it 45 minutes prior. Consistency is the problem, not this singular decisionReferee is the talking point because Liverpool were poor and Utd sat back.

Seriously?an argument could be made that he is congratulation Stu Burt on a good decision
The Nunez one is a little different as it isn't as obviously dissent,
It was the thumbs up that saved him. Like the Arsenal City game the second yellow would have been too early for MO to give it. Stoppage time second half game over, MO can't be blamed for spoiling the game.Seriously?
